Wheel Spin February 2012

Well the year is off to a flying start, but I will firstly hark back to the final event for 2011 which was Shakespeares ‘A Midsummers Night Dream” held in the Royal Botanic Gardens on New Years Eve

and a pleasant social evening for Club members was organised by Wayne and Jenny Hunter.  Our January events will still have to be run when we have to submit the February Wheel Spin report so more on these events later.

Moving on to the Registers events in March  we firstly have the Summertime Rally over the long weekend of 10th. to 12th.March and is going to Echuca . A great weekend is guaranteed so for information and to book ring Hymie Greenblat on 9570 1222 without delay

Next we have the A/B Garage Tour on Saturday 17th. March going to Graham Davies establishment, ESP Machinery Australia, 4 South Rd.  Braybrook, to view his spectacular range of

fourteen desirable MG s .Those members wishing to convoy to the event are to meet Jim Mc Kenzie at the Club rooms at 9 30am for a 10am start or go direct to the venue to arrive around10.45 to 11am,  a sausage sizzle will be provided.

The advertised Sunday Roast Lunch Run  on Sunday 25th. March has been postponed till later in the year as it clashes with a Club Competition Event which is the Motorkhana at Decca and is being run by the B Register in conjunction with the Competition Committee so needless to say we are looking for volunteer Officials to run the day and make it a great success as we did last year. Please register your availability as soon as possible so planning of the event can be completed. Register with Mike Ellsmore on 9884 5960 or mob.0419 340 780 or Peter Wilson on 9467 4135.

Another event to be considered in March is the T Registers Maintaining the Breed on Sunday 4th. Mach, it would be great to see a big rollup of B’s to the event, check T website for details.

On a sad note I must unfortunately report the recent sudden death of Peter Daniel, a B Register member, our sympathy and thoughts go his relatives and friends.

Till next month  ……Safe Motoring
